Draw Out Your Living Room
Take a blank piece of paper and draw out your room. After you have the windows and walls, you can start filling in the room and where you think the living room furniture would look nice. It may help you provide a visual with no need to move the furniture first. Once you have determined the positions, you can start moving the furniture.
Start from the Largest
Place the largest living room furniture first. Every room requires a focal point. This focal point typically is the largest furniture of a room. TV or your entertainment centre can be used as your focal point. After that, you can place your seating furniture. Then, it will be obvious where other pieces have to go, especially when you want the sofa facing the TV. For the furniture, which is quite large, you can choose some smaller pieces in order to make the room look better. When you are finished arranging the furniture, you need to try it out first in order to make sure that it will work. You can walk through your living room and sit in each seat. You can move furniture around to make sure that you are comfortable in each area of your living room.
